We’re hiring a full-time reporter/photographer at the award-winning Daily Mountain Eagle in Jasper, Alabama. It’s in a scenic area that is only a short drive to Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Smith Lake, and the Bankhead National Forest. We need a writer to handle a wide range of stories, including government meetings, features and schools. They must take photos and be comfortable with deadlines. You will write features for our quarterly lifestyle magazine and help us with our growing online presence. Prefer a college degree or experience at a news organization – but this is a good place to grow in skills and make a mark, with friendly mentoring. Benefits included.
