Student Newsroom Internships

The application deadline is Friday, March 29, 2024.

The APA Journalism Foundation will again sponsor, 10-week newsroom internships this summer for journalism students in Alabama.

Contact your local paper or a paper you are interested in working with to see if they are interested in the program. The newspapers pick their own interns. We will gather applications from students and send a copy to papers requesting a need for an intern.

The newspapers will agree to pay the intern at least minimum wage over a 10-week period.

Student eligibility: open to junior or senior undergraduate students or to students enrolled in a graduate program.
